Gîte de Montval and Gîte La
Salamandre, ranked "3 épis", are
old buildings that have been recently
restored. They are situated in the
grounds of Château de Los, originating
from 15th and 17th centuries. It is
located near Bordeaux (20 minutes
drive), between Dordogne and Garonne
rivers, in the heart of the region
called "Entre-Deux-Mers". You will find
it at the end of a little quiet road.
The apartments have access to a
swimming-pool (10 X 5M) of the Los
Castle. Gîte de Montval up to 6 people
(7 with a baby), La Salamandre up to 4
people (5 with a baby).
A third gîte,"les lauriers",
ranked "1 épi", suitable rather for
professional use, because of its modest
comfort and without access to the
pool,can accomodate 4 people (4
single beds)
The Chateau and Gîtes are situated on
a hill with panoramic view over
vineyards and forest.
From the Gîtes, you can visit
prestigious sites like Saint Emilion,
Pomerol, Sauternes, Sainte Croix du
Mont and Cadillac. Along the Saint
Jacques de Compostelle road, visit
"Sauve Majeure Abbey" or numerous
castles like "Cazeneuve Castle" where
Queen Margot, wife of french king
Henri IVth, had been imprisoned.
The Atlantic Ocean is only one hour
journey, enjoy a couple days for going
to the great beaches of Lacanau,
Arcachon basin or Cap Ferret resort.
The apartments are situated in
beautiful surroundings, you may wish
to stay by the pool or walk in the
forest (maybe you could find mushrooms
and chestnuts).
Why not try the cycle track which
leads from Bordeaux to Sauveterre de
Guyenne. We have inside storage for
the safety of your cycles or you could
hire cycles at Créon town (6km), which
is near to the cycle track.
Within walking distance is the "Arbor
et sens" park where you can have
fantastic fun in the tree tops. It is
great fun for all ages from youngsters
to adults.
Disabled Facilities, Gîte de
Montval is adapted for the disabled,
complete accessibility on one level
for 1 double bedroom with shower and
toilet, as well as the main
living-room and the kitchen. La
salamandre is partially accessible for
disable people (not suitable for
wheelchairs).
Baby, you are welcome, the
gites accommodate babies and infants,
it is a very safe area, facilities
available are baby chair, little bed
and small bathtub.
Bordeaux exhibitions, whether
you are exhibitor or customer, you can
take advantage of the close proximity
with Bordeaux to do business during
these great events.
Long stays, do not hesitate to
ask the owner if you want to stay more
than 2 weeks. Price will be reduced.
